Unusual vaginal discharge
Also called: discharge, BV, yeast
Bacterial vaginosis (thin gray discharge, fishy odor), yeast (thick white discharge, itching), and trichomoniasis (yellow-green frothy discharge) are the most common causes, but chlamydia and gonorrhea can present the same way and require STI testing. Clindle evaluates symptoms over video, orders a self-collected swab or lab visit when warranted, and prescribes metronidazole for BV/trich or fluconazole for yeast same-day. Recurrent symptoms, fever, or pelvic pain need an in-person pelvic exam.
