Burning when you pee
Also called: dysuria, painful urination, stinging pee
Burning with urination is the classic sign of a urinary tract infection, but it can also come from yeast, bacterial vaginosis, an STI like chlamydia or gonorrhea, kidney stones, or irritation from soaps and spermicides. In women, an uncomplicated UTI is usually diagnosed on symptoms alone and treated with a short antibiotic course (nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin, or Bactrim). Clindle evaluates burning urination over a video visit, orders a urine culture when indicated, and sends the prescription to your pharmacy the same day — often within a couple of hours.
