Overview
Adult ADHD combines inattention (drifting, missed details, disorganization) and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity. Symptoms must have started in childhood and cause impairment in more than one setting.
Symptoms to watch for
- Difficulty sustaining attention on non-preferred tasks
- Procrastination and time blindness
- Losing/misplacing things
- Trouble finishing what you start
- Impulsive decisions or interrupting
- Restlessness — physical or mental
- Emotional dysregulation
What else could this be?
- Anxiety disorder
- Depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Thyroid dysfunction
- Sleep apnea causing daytime inattention
How it's diagnosed
Structured clinical interview using DSM-5 criteria, validated scales (ASRS, CAARS), and evidence of childhood onset. Rule out mimics (thyroid, sleep, mood disorders).
Treatment
Clindle does not prescribe controlled substances (Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin). We do offer non-controlled options — atomoxetine (Strattera), viloxazine (Qelbree), guanfacine, bupropion — plus CBT, coaching, and referral for stimulant management with an in-person psychiatrist when appropriate.
When to book a visit
Book an evaluation if lifelong attention or executive-function problems are limiting work, relationships, or health.

Does Clindle prescribe Adderall or Vyvanse?
No — Clindle does not prescribe controlled substances of any kind. We can prescribe non-controlled ADHD medications and coordinate a referral for stimulant treatment.
Adderall vs Vyvanse — which is better?
Vyvanse is longer-acting and less likely to be misused; Adderall XR is more flexible. Both require in-person prescribing. See our medication comparison.
