Obesity

Also known as: overweight

Overview

Obesity is a chronic disease with treatable biology — not a lack of willpower. BMI ≥30 (or ≥27 with comorbidity) qualifies for medical weight management. Clindle screens for contraindications, orders baseline labs, and prescribes evidence-based options — metformin, bupropion-naltrexone (Contrave), GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide (Wegovy, compounded) and tirzepatide (Zepbound) when appropriate. We do monthly check-ins to titrate dose, manage side effects, and adjust based on response. We do not prescribe phentermine over telehealth.
