Skin rash

Also called: itchy rash, red rash, hives

Most rashes seen on telehealth are eczema, contact dermatitis, hives (urticaria), tinea (ringworm), psoriasis, or drug eruptions. Clindle clinicians review good-quality photos, ask about new exposures and timing, and prescribe topical steroids, antifungals, antihistamines, or oral steroids depending on the diagnosis. Widespread blistering, rash with fever, mucous-membrane involvement, or facial swelling with trouble breathing is an emergency. For chronic or severe skin conditions needing biologics or biopsy, we refer to a local dermatologist.
