Eczema

Also known as: atopic dermatitis

Overview

Atopic dermatitis (eczema) causes itchy, red, dry, often weepy patches — classically on flexural surfaces. Clindle treats flares with the right strength of topical corticosteroid for the body site (low-potency on face, higher on body), adds tacrolimus or pimecrolimus for chronic facial/eyelid involvement, and builds a daily moisturizer and trigger-control routine. For severe or refractory eczema, we refer to dermatology for dupilumab or other systemics. Bacterial superinfection (oozing, crusting, fever) needs oral antibiotics.
