I'm drinking too much
Also called: alcohol use disorder, aud, heavy drinking, problem drinking, quit drinking, naltrexone, sinclair method
If you're asking whether you drink too much, that itself is meaningful — most people with alcohol use disorder never get asked about it. Heavy drinking is >14 drinks/week for men or >7 for women, and roughly 1 in 6 U.S. adults meets AUD criteria. Medication works: naltrexone (daily 50 mg or the Sinclair Method — one pill an hour before drinking) reduces cravings and reward; acamprosate helps with abstinence; disulfiram (Antabuse) enforces sobriety. Clindle evaluates confidentially over video, orders baseline liver labs, prescribes the right option, and coordinates counseling. We do not treat acute alcohol withdrawal — shakes, seizures, or DTs need in-person or ER care.
