Back pain
Also called: lower back pain, lumbar pain, back strain
Most low back pain is mechanical and resolves within 4–6 weeks with activity modification, NSAIDs, heat, and targeted physical therapy. Clindle evaluates back pain over video, prescribes non-controlled muscle relaxants (cyclobenzaprine, methocarbamol) and NSAIDs, orders imaging when red flags appear, writes PT referrals, and coordinates orthopedics or pain management for refractory cases. Red flags requiring in-person care: leg weakness, numbness in the groin, loss of bladder or bowel control, fever, IV drug use, cancer history, or trauma.
