Overview

Women often have atypical heart attack symptoms — and more often present with them than the 'classic' crushing chest pain seen in men. Missing these leads to delayed treatment.

Symptoms to watch for

• Chest pressure or discomfort (may be milder)
• Unusual fatigue
• Shortness of breath
• Jaw, neck, or back pain
• Nausea, vomiting
• Cold sweats
• Dizziness
