Headache
Also called: head pain, tension headache
Most headaches are tension-type or migraine. Tension headaches feel like a tight band, last hours, and respond to ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Migraines are one-sided, throbbing, last 4–72 hours, and bring nausea or light sensitivity. Cluster headaches are rare, severe, and one-sided around the eye. Clindle evaluates headache patterns over video and prescribes acute therapy (triptans, gepants, NSAIDs) plus preventives (topiramate, propranolol) when attacks are frequent. A sudden "worst headache of your life," headache with fever and stiff neck, or headache after head injury needs an ER, not a televisit.
