Overview
Paxlovid is nirmatrelvir + ritonavir — an oral antiviral for COVID that reduces hospitalization risk in high-risk patients. Must be started within 5 days of symptoms.
Treatment
5-day course. Watch for drug interactions (many meds — the ritonavir component blocks liver enzymes). Metallic taste and mild GI upset common.
